This means that a mech equipped with as many EMP Bombs as possible should be able to beat the same mech equipped with no EMP Bombs, when both are set to stick with target, because then all ranges are covered.  Is this true?  Can they even reach close range?
PFT is best short-range weapon. If both Mechs (EMP and PFT) have "Stick with target", PFT will win. If EMP Mechs will "Keep max range", EMP will win.

RG2 is best mid-high-range weapon. If both Mechs (RG2 and EMP) have "Keep max distance", RG2 will win. If EMP has "Stick with target", EMP will win.

Thats the main advantage of EMP Bombs.

No PFT is not the best short range weapon. Power claws are far more vicious than PTF. Moar DPS and far moar accurate.

I has tested this and tested and tested. Power claws own compared to PTF. A maxed out capacity spider will do far better in a fight with P-Claws vrs PFT. Now as far as pre-max cap yes PFT is a great weapon, PTF spider mixed with EMP spiders can and will take a 10k NPC with no lost units. Same for PFT spiders with Tesla spiders. The jumper/anti-j can take any NPC range up to 16k If setup is correct. 16k is risky in the sense of KP's and such.

EMP is deadly due to one thing in the mix. SPLASH or other wise know as alpha strike. If it had moar accuracy it would be over powered and need adjusting. This weapon for sure is the most balance weapon in the game foor sure and does not need to be fixed/changed. So don't do nothing with them at all

We wrote that clear back in beta.  Lol.  Power Claws and artifacts didn't even exist then.  Not a single weapon has the same specs as back then.  By the way, Owner of Trinsa was my name in beta.

PowerClaws will become best short range weapon with last changes, now in effect only on s3.
Before it was nominally better on paper, but still marginally weaker at zero range (as damge/weight).

Anyone willing to write an upadted version of Weapon Guide?

Corrections in weapon balance are rather small lately so we could include Weapon Guide in the game.

Even if you can't generate the prepared tool yourself, if it is losing after a fight, and you have another one in your factory, you can re-arm it.  I think that's what the 2nd query was about.  Why the tool is losing after the fight doesn't issue when re-arming.
