Resource overview

This quick manual will focus on resources and their corresponding buildings.



In Mech Hero there are three basic resources:

-    Crystal ( denotes production per hour)
-    Gas ( denotes production per hour)
-    Power cells ( denotes surplus production per hour, denotes consumption per hour. Total production per hour for cells is equal to surplus production + consumption)



Crystal
Crystal is the one of the natural resources found on the planet in first years of exploration. As one of the highest energetic resources it is also the basis for production and technology.

When new city is founded, the Crystal Fields are initially placed on the map. It is not possible to create buildings of this type.

Crystal Storage is where this resource is stored. Make sure to always have spare storage capacity otherwise resource mining will suspend. Up to 8 buildings of this type can be built in each city.

Crystal Extractor is the crystal production booster. Each level of this building, up to level 8 further accelerates the amount of crystal the city produces by 4%. Only one such building can be present in each city.



Gas
Second major type of resource is Gas which is necessary for most activities in the city. Transforming new technologies into final engineering projects would be impossible without this recourse.
Same as crystal fields in a new city, Gas Mines are initially placed on the map. It is not possible to create buildings of this type.

Gas Silo is where this resource is stored. Make sure to always have spare storage capacity otherwise resource mining will suspend. Up to 8 buildings of this type can be built in each city.

Gas Refinery accelerates gas production. Conceptually works similarly to the Crystal Extractor. Each next level, up to level 8 accelerates the amount of gas produced by the city by 4%. Only one such building can be present in each city.



Power cells
New technologies and new conditions related to lack of atmosphere allowed to convert radiation (that now can easily reach a planet’s surface) into energy.

Power Plant produces power cells that are consumed by all buildings and all units. Pay special attention to cell usage. If you cannot afford to maintain a positive production to consumption ratio your mechs will be starved due to lack of energy. This causes severe damage to the mechs which can be very expensive to compensate for. When new city is founded, the power plants are initially placed on the map. It is not possible to create buildings of this type.

Cell Storage is where power is stored. Make sure to always have spare storage capacity otherwise excess of power production will be lost. Up to 8 buildings of this type can be built in each city.

Power Coil increases power cell production. Up to level 8, each next level increases the city’s cell production by 4%. Only one such building can be present in each city.




Other building related to resource storage are:

- Inventory Warehouse
- Bunker

Inventory level reflects how much goods can be stored in the city. This includes equipment such as weapons, armor, shields etc. A city’s inventory capacity is controlled by the amount of warehouse and bunker space . Inventory Warehouse and Bunker are described in detail in the Guide


Credits

Like in almost every world money plays a major role. In Mech Hero money is substituted by Credits which then can be used to purchase various enhancements to game play.
Navigate to PROFILE -> Credits of click on the Credits icon in the Resource Overview Mini Pane to take a closer view on the list of features available for purchase via credits.
