gimme some help with puma load outs...

ok...started getting hit by a guy with a lot more mechs than me...trying to figure out the best weapons load outs...i am producing rail guns and have notice on the puma loadouts thread that no one seems to be using rail guns on pumas....is this a bad idea?...some one please help the new guy!...

There is nothing wrong with Railgun 1 or Railgun 2 as long as you're using it on a mech that will move into range quickly (raptor/puma/athlas/spidertank/bionic). Don't use them on slow mechs because enemy snipers can easily stay out of range.

Also consider using jetpacks with short range weapons (assault rifle, plasma flame thrower, power claws, deflector cannon, tesla gun, plasma grenade launcher), or sniping weapons (precise laser rifle, long range rifle).

I am also toying with the idea of just manufacturing lots of raptors and arming them with railguns...and PLR's...i can make them a lot cheaper and faster...is this a strategy with looking into?...

not really your best bet is to make yourself undesirable until you can research stronger mechs(the vulture is stronger and cheaper then pumas, just cant equip jet packs)

i suggest you "raze" or destroy your storage silos and build 12 bunkers to max lvl you will still have over 140k capacity but you cant be looted

ok...does that mean that I can get rid of my inventory warehouse as well?...got my first puma in production now...

Yes, if it is currently empty.
Everything you cant store in the bunkers will be lost.

What Mechs and weapon is the other guy using? Each setup has some weak points...

5 pumas...2 were just "shopping carts" (all transports)...the other three had jet packs...one had 3 assault rifles...one had

I put it in the Sim, and had no losses most times:

3x Vulture with one basic plating and 6 assault guns. Behavior Soldier (that is important, otherwise they will lose!)
Range is no problem here, the Pumas will come to you. With your Jumpers or against Jumpers the assault gun is good. Otherwise it is mostly useless, so if he re-configurate his mechs, you have to do it, too!

Exactly. 3 Vultures, 8 Assault Rifles each should do the job. I suggest to rearm them with some long range weapons right after the fight, otherwise it may be an easy target.
